About Me

Hi I'm Renee. I live in Rode in Somerset.
My first experience of yoga was on a video many years ago when I was 21!
Many years later when I was pregnant with my daughter, I joined an ante-natal yoga class which I loved and it really helped me during the pregnancy and the birth. Yoga helped me feel calmer and more connected to my mind and body. I continued to practice yoga at home on a DVD. Later I joined a a yoga class in my village.
I am a Qualified Early Years teacher. In 2018 whilst working as a Nursery Teacher I started teaching the children yoga and I took part in Rainbow Kids Yoga Training in London.
In 2019 I left my teaching job after a particularly stressful time.
I started a Foundation Course in Traditional Yoga. This led to 200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Academy For Yoga Training in Bath in 2020 during the Covid pandemic. I continued training in Restorative yoga and Yoga for Menopause.
Other training includes Embodied Posture Method with Yoga Project School of Yoga, Mentorship and Yoga for the Nervous System with Laura Green Yoga and Movement Science Essentials with Laura Gilmore Yoga.
I recently qualified as an Accredited Menopause Yoga Teacher with Petra Coveney.
I have trained with many wonderful yoga teachers.
My own yoga practice continues to change and evolve and has supported me through difficult and challenging times in my life.
I am passionate about sharing what I have learnt so far on my yoga journey and enjoy teaching yoga in small classes or 1:1.
I work part-time in a local village school and enjoy family life with my husband, 2 grown up children and a crazy, adorable dog, Bobbie.
