Gentle Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is a style of yoga that connects body, mind and breath. Each session begins by settling in with grounding postures and breath awareness. You warm up your body with gentle movement and stretches.
Expect slow flow yoga sequences to energise your body. Standing postures to strengthen, improve balance, flexibility, mobility and stability. Alignment cues are given but with an understanding that your body is unique and postures can be adapted to suit your individual body. The class ends with warm down postures and final resting pose (savasana). Sometimes the class has an anatomy focus or a yoga philosophy theme.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is a gentle style of yoga where your body is supported by bolsters, cushions, blocks blankets and straps to allow your body to totally relax. Postures are held for between 5-20 minutes. Restorative yoga can help with many health conditions including with Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Osteoporosis, Pre-menopause and Menopause symptoms, Stress and Anxiety, Migraine.
Private 1:1 sessions
I offer private sessions that can be designed to suit your unique body and needs. We'll begin with a chat about what you would like from the session. I can then design sessions to support your requirements. Sessions can help to improve your flexibiltiy or mobility or help reduce stress and tension in held in your body. It is best to have a block of sessions. Please consult your doctor or physiotherapist before starting these sessions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Wear something loose and comfortable that you can move it. Please bring your own mat if you have one.
Bring a blanket and/or warm jumper and socks for final resting posture (savasana). If you have an eye pillow or block you re welcome to bring that too. I do have some spare equipment and resources.
Please let the teacher know before the start of the class if you are pregnant or have any medical conditions.
Please check with your doctor or physiotherapist before starting your yoga journey.
Payment is cash or bank transfer. If you cannot attend a session you have booked I will do my best to either provide a refund or re-arrange your booking.
